January 25th: Rangeley Snodeo All Day A full day of snowmobile events including Racing starting at 9AM at Steven Bean Municipal Airport and The Rave X Show at Boss Power Equipment at 2PM. The Parade begins at 5:30 PM from The Rangeley Inn, travels down Main Street and onto the lake for a spectacular fireworks show.
January 25th: 10-2 at the waterworks area Presque Isle Snow Day Get outside and enjoy a variety of outdoor wintertime activities at Presque Isle! Ice fishing, sled dogs, chili & cocoa, snowshoeing, wagon rides, geocaching, hiking and the list goes on!
January 25th: Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church Jubilation Singers will be serving up hot, delicious chicken pies from 4:30 PM-6:00 PM. For more information, please call 862-4196.
January 31st: Women at the Point are teaming up with Safe Families of Maine for a Winter Gala at the Point Community Center, 345 Clarks Pond Pkwy in South Portland from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. All women age 9th grade & up are invited to a formal evening of red carpet pictures, desserts of either gourmet cupcakes or Holy Donuts, and a chance to take home an auction basket. Auction items range in price & variety, but it's certain there's something for everyone whether you're a tea or coffee drinker or an outdoor, adventure seeker, or a relaxing massage seeker. February 7th-9th: US National Toboggan Championships | Camden Snow Bowl, Camden Amateurs and pro team compete on Camden's classic toboggan run for the fastest time. Sledders don crazy costumes for the wild ride on traditional toboggans down the icy track for the title of Champion. Camden Snow Bowl offer skiing and snowboarding plus sledding, tubing and ice skating all winter. Entries to compete must be in by Jan 31 at camdensnowbowl.com.
February 1st: Morgan Hill Event Center in Herman from 6 to 11 p.m. Flaunt Your Flannel. Love it. Kick cancer with Penobscot's Relay for Life kickoff event. Dinner. Dance. Fun. All while wearing a plaid shirt. Gotta love it. Tickets thru the American Cancer Society.
February 8th: East Orrington Congregational Church is hosting a Valentine's Dinner & Dance at 6:00 PM. There will be line dancing with a dancing instructor. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Turkey pie's on the dinner menu. Seating is limited, so you're encouraged to purchase your tickets in advanced. February 15-16: Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has set this weekend as Free Family Fishing Days, where you can fish Maine Waters without a license. This event gives Mainer's an opportunity to try the sport without having to purchase a fishing license. Be sure to check the 2020 law book for all details.
