February 24th: Celebrate Recovery and Imago Dei are hosting a one day conference in cooperation with City Reach Church and Teen Challenge on February 24th starting at 9 AM. The event will be located at 56 Center Street in Bangor, Maine. Our goal is to answer the questions of a hurting community. We want to give practical answers to family members of addicts and communicate the power of the gospel in an accessible way to those struggling with addiction. March 5th: The voice of the martyrs will be hosting a theatrical event called The Tortured for Christ on Monday, March 5th, 2018. More than 700 theaters across the United States have agreed to air this powerful new film- under one condition. March 17th: Shipwrecked Training Event, a training and networking event called VBS FunShop will be held on March 17th at Kezar Falls Assembly of God located at 213 Federal St., Parsonsfield, Maine. Area churches that are planning to present Group Publishing's Shipwrecked VBS this summer will receive hands-on training from a Group VBS expert to maximize the impact of their VBS program. March 20th: Caring Area Neighbors for Cancer Education and Recovery (C-A-N-C-E-R) is hosting an event for the 12th Annual Planet Head Day and 2nd Annual International Planet Head Day. Event will be held at the University of Maine, Presque Isle, Weiden Hall Gymnasium from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. They will supply a bald cap or a free buzz cut from a local stylist; you choose your favorite planet, dwarf planet or moon and one of their volunteer artists will paint your head. The event offers science programs, cancer information, door prizes, free pizza and much more. This year they will be joining forces with Szczecin, Poland.
