Dear Listeners:
I pray that this month’s letter finds you well and warm. This has been and is one of the worse winters, weather wise, that I can remember and I have been in Maine all my life. But you know, I still love Maine. I have traveled some and I have seen some beautiful places, but I still love all four Maine seasons. Winter will soon be over and we will forget these horribly cold nights as well as ALL the snow we received this year.
It has been a great month here at the radio station. On the 42nd anniversary of “Rowe verses Wade”, we were able to raise $16,085.00 to help the Shepherds Godparent Home pay off their mortgage. It was so good to hear from a couple of the girls that have given birth to their babies and have able to gain a relationship with Jesus Christ as well as have a place to begin a new life. It is an incredible ministry and we were glad to help them. We were also blessed to receive over 70 entries into our Winter Wonder Warmup Giveaway. Special thanks to all of you who called and shared with us as well as our four sponsors who made it possible. Then our “Couples Getaway” was another way were able to be a blessing this month. Special thanks to Tim Horton’s, Specialty Sweets, Kostas Restaurant, Bangor Floral and Vacationland Inn for helping us to put this together. A pastor and his wife was awarded the first getaway and the second was given to a wonderful couple who have spent many years involved in mission work. It always blesses my heart to see God give back to those who give so much.
I hope and pray that we are your everyday choice in your radio selection. For me, it seems to be a different song, a different program, or maybe just a Facebook posting from the WHCF site that points me in the right direction for the day. Sometimes it can stay with me for days and I want you to experience it as well. We at Lighthouse Radio want to help you through difficult days, the difficult trials that plaque our days, and to also inspire you on good days with a happy moment.
